MD LederAtelier is what it sounds like when a trade this old meets a craftsman this stubborn. Domenico, the master behind the bench, restores and builds leather goods by hand: shoes and bags brought back to life, car seats recoloured, one-off commissions in leathers most people only see behind glass.
Nothing in the atelier is priced like a product line, because nothing is a product line. A piece costs what the hours inside it cost: signature bags at one end, five-figure bespoke work at the other. The boutique on Unterdorfstrasse, in the village of Beringen, is a new space taking shape for autumn. Until those doors open, and for every client beyond driving distance afterwards, the atelier's face is the website.
